SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

As a Clinical Psychologist registered with AHPRA, Dr Lily Amorous has specific rules and ethical obligations regarding the Internet.

Friending and Following

Dr Lily Amorous cannot accept friend or contact requests from current or former clients on any personal social networking site.  Adding clients as friends or contacts on these sites can compromise your confidentiality and privacy. It may also blur the boundaries of therapy.

You are welcome to view the Public and Professional pages of The NDE Connexion on Facebook, TikTok, Link’d In, or Instagram pages, as blog posts, psychology news, and professional updates are shared in these forums. There is no expectation that clients follow the blog or sites, and you are welcome to use your own discretion in choosing whether to do so. If you would like to discuss any of the this website’s content with me, you are welcome to bring it along to sessions.

Current or former clients are not able to be followed back on any social media forum. Clients own social media pages are not viewed unless the client explicitly requests for Dr Lily Amorous to do so, and only during session time.

Interacting 

If you are a client and would like to contact me in between sessions, please do so via The NDE Connexion email, further details can be found in the Contact tab. Please do not use social networking sites such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, or blog comments, as these sites are not secure and may remain unread. It may also compromise your confidentiality.

Please use email only to arrange or modify appointments. Please do not email content related to therapy sessions, as email is not completely secure or confidential. Emails are retained in the logs of Internet service providers. Emails become a part of your legal record.
